Hygiene Without Running Water: Staying Fresh in a Crisis

Cleanliness is survival. Staying clean without running water reduces illness, boosts morale, and protects dignity.

Here’s my hygiene prep checklist:

  • No-rinse soap & body wipes
  • Compressed toilet paper tabs
  • Baking soda & cornstarch (deodorize, dry shampoo, foot powder)
  • Reusable cloth pads & liners
  • Extra undies, socks, and a small clothesline
  • Travel bidet or peri bottle

Rotate hygiene items and test them now. Try a "no shower" weekend and see what works. Keep your hygiene kit compact and layered: body, dental, menstrual, feet.

Feeling clean = feeling human. Pack for it.
