Trust But Verify: Rotating & Checking Your Preps

It’s easy to stash and forget. But a can of beans from 2017 won’t save you now. That’s why I run quarterly prep checks.

My routine:

  • Review all food and meds for expiry dates
  • Check all batteries, chargers, lights
  • Test fuel, solar panels, radios
  • Practice opening canned goods and using tools
  • Update my spreadsheet & prep log
  • Trusting your stash isn’t enough. Verify it. Maintain it.

Don’t get caught with dead flashlights or spoiled soup. Prepping is a lifestyle, not a one-time haul.

Inspect. Rotate. Repeat.
